Sad News :Tears in Rabbitohs as star backline man injury is worse than expected and Will be out for

South Sydney Rabbitohs winger Alex Johnston is facing a potential six-week absence after scans revealed a torn hamstring.

Johnston sustained the injury during the club’s Good Friday clash against the Canterbury Bulldogs, initially hoping for a shorter recovery time.

However, scans yielded a worse prognosis than anticipated, as reported by the Sydney Morning Herald.

This setback adds to the challenges faced by the Rabbitohs this season. After losing their first three games, they managed to secure a narrow victory over the Bulldogs.

Their upcoming schedule presents tough competition, with matches against the New Zealand Warriors,

Cronulla Sharks, Melbourne Storm, and Penrith Panthers. Additionally, they have a bye after the Sharks game before facing the Dragons and Cowboys.

Johnston’s injury necessitates further adjustments to the Rabbitohs’ backline, already disrupted by Campbell Graham’s absence and other

lineup changes in the early stages of the season. Jack Wighton only recently returned from suspension in the match against Canterbury.

Johnston’s injury necessitates further adjustments to the Rabbitohs’ backline, already disrupted by the long absence of

Campbell Graham and other changes in the early matches. Jack Wighton made his return from suspension in the game against Canterbury.

Johnston’s recent injury will likely see the club relying on Tyrone Munro when he returns from his own injury. In the

meantime, potential replacements on the wing could include Izaac Thompson, Richard Kennar, or Jacob Gagai.
