Sad News: Very poor Performances from White Sox,why they were humiliated by Royals

Nelson Velázquez and MJ Melendez both hit home runs and contributed two RBIs each, propelling Seth Lugo and the Kansas City Royals to a commanding 10-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Thursday evening.

Right fielder Hunter Renfroe made a pivotal play by throwing out a potential tying run at home plate in the sixth inning, just before Kansas City surged ahead with eight runs in the seventh.

Velázquez kickstarted the scoring with a single and a homer, driving in the first two runs of the game. Lugo (1-0) pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing only one run and eight hits to secure his first win with the Royals. This performance adds to the string of strong outings by Kansas City’s starting pitchers, who boast an impressive 1.43 ERA.

Lugo recorded three strikeouts and issued two walks. Angel Zerpa relieved him in the seventh, retiring Andrew Benintendi with a runner on second to maintain the Royals’ narrow lead.

On the opposing side, Michael Soroka (0-1) surrendered two runs and six hits across six innings in his second start for the White Sox.
