Sad News:So sad to say goodbye as Jeremy Swayman (Bulldog) Bruins Goalie have terminated his contract

The Boston Bruins extended their winning streak during their road trip, securing victories against the Florida Panthers, Washington Capitals, Nashville Predators, and Carolina Hurricanes.

Boston showcased consistent effort throughout each game, culminating in a decisive 4-1 win against the Carolina Hurricanes to conclude the trip.

Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, particularly highlighting

the significance of defeating a formidable opponent like the Hurricanes. “I’m really pleased with

(Thursday night’s) win,” Montgomery remarked during NESN’s postgame coverage. “A team that was 8-1-1 and has been playing really well.”

Entering the matchup, the Bruins held a two-point advantage over the Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference standings. They asserted their dominance early in

the game, netting three goals in the first period courtesy of Brad Marchand, David Pastrnak, and Danton Heinen, establishing a commanding lead.

“I believe the key factor was winning battles along the boards,” Marchand elaborated. “Many of these victories

stemmed from players retrieving pucks off the wall under pressure and making plays in tight situations. In this type of

setup, if you can execute that and catch an opponent off guard, you can capitalize on those opportunities, and that’s exactly what we did.”

The Bruins set their sights on securing road victories as they embarked on the trip against the Flyers on March 23.

“You have to be able to win games on the road, especially against these tough opponents we’re facing right now,”

Marchand emphasized. “They’re all playoff-bound teams, so each game presents a significant challenge. These are the types of matchups you want to be

a part of, especially as we near the end of the season. It’s about getting prepared because it’s only going to get tougher from here. So, it’s a good test for us at this point.”

Jeremy Swayman showcased his goaltending prowess by making 27 saves on 28 shots faced from Carolina, securing his third consecutive win and 25th

overall. Despite his personal achievements, Swayman emphasized the importance of team victories over individual statistics.

“I think it’s a great momentum booster for our team as we head into this final stretch and prepare for what lies ahead,”

Swayman expressed during NESN’s postgame coverage. “I’m really pleased with how the guys responded to the

travel demands and performed in these crucial late-season games. I’m genuinely excited to see the determination and effort we’re putting forth right now.”

In Boston’s triumph, David Pastrnak, Danton Heinen, and Pavel Zacha each contributed multi-point performances.

Pastrnak extended his point streak to three games, tallying two goals and three assists during that span. Zacha provided

assists on Pastrnak and Heinen’s goals, adding to his recent impressive form with two goals and six assists in the last five games.

Although the Bruins’ power play failed to capitalize on its four opportunities, the penalty kill unit showcased strength by

successfully neutralizing two of the three power play attempts by Carolina in the victory.

Boston’s record now stands at 45 wins, 17 losses, and 15 overtime losses overall,

with a 28-12-5 record against Eastern Conference rivals and an 11-8-2 record against teams from the Metropolitan Division.

The Bruins will head back home to face the Florida Panthers on Saturday afternoon at TD Garden. The game is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be

broadcast on ABC. Following this matchup, Boston will resume coverage on NESN when they host the Hurricanes on April 9.
