Conversations over Sailor’s possible participation in the halves alongside

inserting veteran Corey Oates on the wing. While Matty Johns, a former player

for the NSW Blues and Newcastle Knights, concurs that Sailor has great

potential, he bemoaned the fact that Ezra Mam is a five-eighth rather than a

halfback who can control the game. According to Johns, “Jock Madden is a

good young player who will come into the side.”

In order to make room for Sailor in the halves, the Broncos may consider calling up Madden, who previously took Reynolds’ place. They may also try rearranging the backfield. They may even attempt to move veteran Corey Oates to the flank and move Selwyn Cobbo to fullback if Walsh isn’t ready to return.
