Sad News: Daniel Farke best player is set for a summer move as deal is already completed

According to Paul Robinson, Leeds United should consider loaning out Charlie Cresswell ahead of the next season if the club secures promotion to the Premier League.

Cresswell, a Wales youth international, recently featured on the substitutes’ bench for Leeds in Championship matches against Watford and Hull City before sustaining an injury. Although he

has yet to make a senior appearance, manager Daniel Farke praised Cresswell as a “talented player with great potential” and indicated his willingness to field him if necessary.

However, Robinson believes that Cresswell will face even greater challenges for playing time if Leeds competes in the Premier League next

season. Therefore, a temporary departure from Elland Road through a loan move would be a sensible option to ensure Cresswell gets valuable game experience.

“If Leeds are in the Premier League next season, then a loan move would be sensible to get him game time,” Robinson

stated to MOT Leeds News. “He’s still very young, but the manager is not afraid to give young players an opportunity – look at Archie Gray.”

Robinson highlighted the manager’s tendency to rely on trusted players for crucial matches, making it challenging

for young talents like Cresswell to break into the first team. Despite Cresswell’s relatively recent introduction to the first-team squad due to several injuries to key

players, Farke’s confidence in him has been evident by consistently including him in matchday squads for important fixtures.

The 17-year-old has already participated in training sessions with both the Leeds

and Wales senior squads, despite his young age, and he is expected to become a regular fixture for both teams in the future.

Cresswell joined Thorp Arch in 2022 and made a strong impression in his first year with the Under-18s and Under-21s, leading to him being offered a professional contract last summer.

If Leeds remain in the Championship beyond this season, Cresswell may have opportunities for regular appearances next season, similar to how Gray has featured this season.

However, the more advantageous option would be to loan him out to a League One club to gain experience at the senior

level before returning to Elland Road fully prepared to compete for a first-team position.

Regardless of the path Leeds chooses for Cresswell, the future looks exceedingly promising for this talented young player.
