Unbelievable:Another Kirk Cousin trade is expected between Falcons and Viking as….

The Falcons’ apparent tampering with quarterback Kirk Cousins has come under scrutiny, particularly following remarks made by Cousins during his introductory press conference. The NFL has launched an investigation into the matter, and if the league is genuinely

committed to uncovering the truth, a thorough investigation should quickly reveal the extent of the tampering.

The key question now is the potential consequences for the Falcons. Some speculate that Rich McKay’s presence on

the Competition Committee could influence leniency towards the Falcons, but such favoritism should not be

tolerated. It’s worth noting that the Falcons received a lesser punishment for pumping fake crowd noise into the

Georgia Dome compared to the penalty handed to the 49ers for a minor accounting error.

Drawing comparisons to last year’s tampering incident involving the Cardinals and former Eagles defensive

coordinator Jonathan Gannon, which resulted in an announcement just before the draft, there’s a possibility of a similar scenario unfolding in this case.

With the Falcons holding the eighth pick in the first round and the Vikings holding the eleventh, one potential outcome

could see the two teams swapping picks as part of the punishment. This approach aligns with the precedent set by the NFL’s

handling of the Cardinals-Eagles settlement last year, suggesting a similar resolution between the Falcons and Vikings wouldn’t be unprecedented.

A just outcome would entail considering various factors, such as Cousins’ acknowledgment that he communicated

with the team’s head athletic trainer and possibly with director of player personnel Ryan Pace before permitted

contact, his involvement in recruiting former Bears receiver Darnell Mooney during the negotiating window, and any additional findings the NFL may uncover

through the examination of text messages and other evidence. This includes determining whether the team was aware of tight end Kyle Pitts’ efforts

to recruit Cousins, despite Pitts attempting to disavow these efforts once they were revealed.

Consequently, the Vikings could potentially be awarded the eighth and

23rd picks in the draft, enabling them to trade up into the top five more easily if they choose to do so. Alternatively, they

may opt to retain their eighth pick and wait for a quarterback prospect they favor to become available.

Given the NFL’s history of releasing significant tampering revelations, such as the Cardinals-Eagles incident, just as the draft commenced last year, it would

be prudent to remain vigilant for similar developments this year, particularly in light of the confirmed tampering involving the Falcons and Cousins.
