Sad News:you are no longer needed , Falcons have terminated 3 players contract due to…

The Atlanta Falcons may consider making three roster cuts following the draft, depending on various factors.

NFL teams, including the Falcons, continually fine-tune their rosters,

making cuts, trades, and signings under the leadership of Terry Fontenot, regardless of the timing.

With the draft introducing a new influx of players to teams, some current players may find themselves replaced by rookies.

Here are three Falcons players who could potentially receive notice that they are being replaced by a newly drafted rookie.

1.JoVaughn Gwyn, IOLĀ

JoVaughn Gwyn, a seventh-round selection who didn’t see any offensive snaps last season and was drafted under the previous coaching regime, doesn’t have any assurances.

Similar to Justin Shaffer, a late-round pick and former Georgia Bulldog who was released, Gwyn faces a precarious situation.

Given the shift in coaching philosophy, Gwyn is likely to be supplanted by new mid-to-late-round picks. Without any loyalty from the coaching staff, his job could be at risk.

2. Ade Ogundeji, OLBĀ

It’s unfortunate to pile on someone who’s already facing challenges, but Ade Ogundeji should prepare himself for a

tough road ahead. Making it through preseason, let alone surviving final cuts, will be an uphill battle for him.

Ogundeji’s performance as a primary starter in 2022 left much to be desired. He struggled to generate pressure

throughout the season, making him one of the least effective starters in the NFL. Now, coming off a season-ending injury,

his future with the Falcons is uncertain, especially if the team opts to draft multiple edge rushers.

3. Richie Grant, S

Richie Grant hasn’t lived up to the expectations he had when he entered the league as a second-round pick from UCF.

Despite occasional flashes of promise, he has struggled to consistently perform at an above-average level.

Throughout his career, Grant has been prone to crucial missed tackles and

coverage lapses, undermining his potential impact on the field. Last season,

he went from being a full-time starter to being benched in favor of DeMarcco Hellams.

Considering the Falcons’ potential interest in drafting a safety in the later rounds, Grant’s future with the team

appears uncertain. If they indeed select a safety, it’s likely they will part ways with Grant altogether.
