Sad News: am not playing again,Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has terminate his contract

Following a 15-year tenure in the NFL, ex-Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has formally announced his retirement.

 

 

 

 

Ryan, in collaboration with the Falcons, shared a three-minute video on X to confirm his departure from professional football.

 

“After sixteen years since being drafted, my lifelong aspiration has reached its conclusion,” Ryan expressed. “It’s a

privilege to retire as a Falcon. To the Falcons supporters, thank you for your unwavering backing. Amidst the peaks

and valleys, I consistently sensed your fervor. Each day, I embraced the duty of delivering my utmost effort for you.”

At 38 years old, Ryan concludes his NFL journey with impressive stats, tallying 62,792 passing yards and 381 touchdowns, both ranking among the top-10 in league history. Over 234 games,

all of which he started, Ryan maintained a completion rate of 65.6 percent and achieved a record of 124-109-1.

Selected third overall in the 2008 draft, Ryan garnered four Pro Bowl selections

and clinched the league’s Most Valuable Player accolade in 2016, leading the Falcons to Super Bowl LI.

For 14 years, Ryan was a cornerstone of the Atlanta community, even establishing his non-profit organization, ‘Advance the

Lives.’ Although he bids farewell to the football field, Ryan remains deeply connected to Atlanta.

Reflecting on his tenure, Ryan expressed pride in his achievements,

acknowledging his unwavering dedication to excellence. Despite not

fulfilling all aspirations, he remains grateful for his journey, particularly its Atlanta origin and conclusion.

Transitioning into broadcasting, Ryan joined CBS as an analyst in 2023, a role he’s expected to continue in the future.

While his playing days have ended, Ryan’s presence will still be felt on Atlanta screens come fall.
