News Now: Detroit Lions have completed 3 incredible signings in 24 hours

Detroit is preparing for the NFL Draft, and ahead of the event, they have reason to rejoice regarding the Lions.

Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has reached an agreement on a four-year contract extension with the Lions. Selected in the fourth round of the 2021 draft, St. Brown is entering the final year of his rookie contract.

St. Brown emerged as a pivotal player in the Lions’ offense slated for extensions this offseason. Quarterback Jared Goff is also expected to receive a new contract.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the extension is valued at more than $120 million, with $77 million guaranteed.

This would elevate St. Brown to the status of the highest-paid receiver in the NFL. While the specific terms of the contract have not been disclosed, St. Brown is in line for a substantial payday.

The details of the contract will also be closely watched by Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, and Brandon Aiyuk as they navigate their own extension negotiations this offseason.

St. Brown has amassed impressive statistics, tallying 315 receptions for 3,588 yards and 21 touchdowns in his first three seasons. These numbers position him among the top 17 players in Lions history across all three categories. With his future secured in Detroit, St. Brown is poised to further climb these rankings in the years to come.
