Sad News:Tears in New York Knicks as Center Mitchell Robinson is rule out of playoff remainder due to …

New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson, who sat out 50 games this season following left ankle surgery, has been ruled out for the remainder of the playoffs due to a “stress injury” in the same ankle, as announced by the Knicks.

According to reports from Fred Katz at The Athletic, Robinson has opted for rehab instead of undergoing another

surgery. However, this means he will be re-evaluated in 6-8 weeks, which coincides with the end of the NBA Finals.

Robinson expressed his frustration regarding the situation, but the specifics cannot be shared here due to language concerns.

The Knicks’ front line depth will be put to the test with Robinson’s injury, especially considering they are already without

forwards Julius Randle (shoulder surgery) and Bojan Bogdanovic (foot surgery). Isaiah Hartenstein will

maintain his role as the starting center, with Precious Achiuwa now expected to step up as his backup.
