Breaking News:Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur have submitted a £58M to sign Leeds star

The prospect of promotion to the Premier League holds significant implications for several Leeds United players, with Tottenham showing interest in seizing the opportunity to acquire one standout star should the Whites fail to ascend.

Daniel Farke’s squad now faces the playoffs after Leeds fell short of securing a top-two finish in the Championship this

season. To secure promotion, Leeds must navigate the playoffs alongside Leicester and Ipswich.

Their playoff campaign kicks off with a match against Norwich, Farke’s former team, while Southampton, who defeated

Leeds on the final day of the regular season, take on West Brom.

Should promotion elude them, players like Crysencio Summerville, Willy Gnonto, and Illan Meslier may

contemplate their futures at Elland Road, with the club likely needing to sell

players if they remain in the Championship.

With a potential decrease in parachute payments and the stringent constraints of Financial Fair Play, Leeds might be

compelled to offload one or two key players, with Summerville emerging as a potential candidate for sale.

A recent report suggests that Tottenham may seek to capitalize on the opportunity

to sign Summerville from Leeds, along with several other clubs. According to the report:

Ange Postecoglou is known for favoring quick players adept at counterattacking, with his Spurs team excelling in this style of play by exploiting space behind opposing defenses.

Summerville has attracted interest from various clubs including Aston Villa and Liverpool, with Stephen Warnock

suggesting that he may find it difficult to turn down a manager like Unai Emery if approached this summer.

Recent reports have linked Serie A giants Juventus and Napoli to the Dutch winger, adding to the growing list of admirers. Sport.fr now reports that Tottenham and Newcastle are also keen on the £38m-rated attacker.

Summerville burst onto the scene last season under Jesse Marsch, scoring the

winning goal against Liverpool at Anfield and outplaying Virgil van Dijk to secure a 2-1 victory for Leeds.

This season, he has been awarded the Championship Player of the Season

accolade, intensifying interest in him this summer. His representatives,

Wasserman, are expected to be busy, with Tottenham having a prior relationship with the agency.

Interestingly, Summerville shares the same agency as former Spurs defender

Clement Lenglet, who spent last season on loan at Tottenham before joining Aston Villa.
