Sad News:I don’t want to comeback to Elland Road again,Leeds on Loan player wants permanent move as he is ..

According to Il Messaggero, Diego Llorente will depart Leeds United permanently as he has triggered an obligation to be purchased in his loan deal with Roma. The report states that the Spaniard will cost the Serie A side €5 million [£4.29 million] after meeting the requirement of playing 50% of the games during his second season in Rome.

However, it is suggested that Llorente could be immediately loaned out to a third club as Roma’s manager, Daniele

De Rossi, looks to revamp the team he inherited from Jose Mourinho earlier in the season. Llorente returned to Roma

last summer after spending the latter part of the previous campaign there, amassing a total of 41 appearances this season.

Despite expectations for a permanent departure at the end of his initial loan, Llorente remained, but regular

involvement this season and the existence of an obligation clause indicate that his exit is imminent.

From Leeds United’s perspective, resolving Llorente’s departure could improve the club’s financial situation, particularly considering CEO Angus

Kinnear’s previous remarks about the defender’s significant salary of £6 million at Elland Road, roughly equivalent to £115,000 per week.

As the club faces the prospect of entering the play-offs following a late-season downturn, cutting costs becomes

imperative for sustained success in the second tier, should they miss out on an immediate Premier League return. Offloading Llorente’s hefty salary while

receiving a reasonable transfer fee aligns with the Whites’ interests, especially given his uncertain future at the club.

However, decisions still loom regarding other players who departed after relegation but saw their loan spells elsewhere falter. With players like

Rasmus Kristensen returning, managerial decisions become crucial in shaping the team for future campaigns.

Daniel Farke’s task of steering Leeds United back to the top flight is made more manageable if successful in the

play-offs, although the club’s history in these high-stakes matches presents a significant challenge.

Meanwhile, Phil Hay anticipates significant headlines this summer regarding a potential high-profile signing for Leeds United.
