Done deal:He deserves and earned Contract Extension,Dan Campbell reveals 3X Pro Bowler whose Contract should be ….

The Detroit Lions have been proactive in securing their homegrown talent this offseason, recently finalizing contract extensions with wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and offensive tackle Penei Sewell. Yet, it seems their efforts to solidify long-term deals are not over.

During an interview on WXYT, Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes revealed ongoing talks regarding a contract extension for quarterback Jared Goff.

Jared Goff is currently in the last year of a four-year, $134 million contract ($110 million guaranteed) that he inked while

playing for the Los Angeles Rams. Throughout his career, the former first overall pick has amassed a commendable record of 66 wins, 50 losses, and 1 tie.

He boasts a completion rate of 67.3%, having thrown for 30,429 yards, including 185 touchdown passes and 82 interceptions.

Goff, a three-time Pro Bowler, is gearing up for a potential Super Bowl push, having previously reached the NFC Championship Game, albeit suffering a loss to the San Francisco Giants.

In the realm of contract extensions, the focus often lies on surpassing the highest

figures to maintain progress. While it’s unlikely to eclipse Patrick Mahomes’ staggering $450 million contract, it’s

more feasible to assess the average salary. Here’s a breakdown of the top 10 quarterbacks’ average annual earnings at present.

The Detroit Lions have emerged as a formidable young team, demonstrating a commitment to rewarding their talent. Their offense, largely unchanged from

last season, remains a force to be reckoned with. However, they bolstered their weak secondary by selecting

Alabama cornerback Terrion Arnold in the first round and Missouri cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. in the second.

As the Green Bay Packers gain another year of chemistry and make significant upgrades, and the Chicago Bears undergo

a complete franchise revitalization, the NFC North is becoming increasingly competitive. Yet, it’s essential not to

overlook the Lions’ achievements from last season, clinching the NFC North title and securing the third seed. Despite their

loss in the NFC Championship, they displayed dominance in the postseason, winning a pair of playoff games.

With the potential for the Lions to clinch the division title once more this year, the release of the upcoming schedule next week promises to add further intrigue to their journey.
