Almost done:Leeds have finalize deal with a Champions League finalist over a £54K/week contract who is…

Leeds United are reported to have contacted Borussia Dortmund’s right-back Marius Wolf regarding a potential free transfer this summer, contingent on their promotion.

Leeds face one final match this season against Southampton at Wembley, with a Premier League spot at stake.

If promoted, Leeds’ ownership group, the 49ers, are expected to invest heavily to avoid the fate of this season’s promoted teams, all of whom were relegated back to the EFL.

Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg announced on Monday that

Leeds are closely monitoring Marius Wolf, who is set to become a free agent

this summer. Plettenberg indicated that discussions about signing Wolf would occur if Leeds win their final match.

Other clubs from Serie A, La Liga, and Saudi Arabia are also interested in the 28-year-old right-back.

The Champions League final will take place at Wembley at the start of next

month, with Wolf’s team set to face Real Madrid on June 1.

Wolf has made 31 appearances across all competitions for Dortmund this season,

contributing two assists during their notable campaign.

According to Capology, his weekly wage is slightly above £54,000, which would

make him one of Leeds’ highest earners if he were to join.

Social media reviews of Wolf are mixed from those who have watched him

extensively, but he is certainly seen as an enhancement to the squad.

If Leeds get promoted, they need to significantly improve their squad depth,

and a free signing like Wolf would be vital for that.

Wolf, a 6ft 2in full-back with considerable energy for attacking play, would be a solid addition to the team.
