SAD NEWS: Nottingham Forest has confirmed the Departure of two strikers who Nuno Espirito seems surplus and not part of his team

Nottingham Forest have confirmed that strikers Chris Wood and Divock Origi will be departing from the club, as head coach Nuno Espírito Santo deems them surplus to requirements for the upcoming season. Both players expressed their gratitude to the club’s coaching staff and fans for their support during their time at the City Ground.

Chris Wood, who joined Nottingham Forest in January 2023, and Divock Origi,

who arrived on loan from AC Milan, have made notable contributions to the team.

However, Nuno Espírito Santo has decided that the strikers are not part of his plans moving forward.

Wood conveyed his appreciation, saying, “I want to thank everyone at Nottingham Forest, from the management and

coaching staff to my teammates and the incredible fans. It’s been an honor to play here, and I wish the club all the best in the future.”

Origi echoed these sentiments, adding, “My time at Nottingham Forest has been

a memorable chapter in my career. I’m grateful for the support and kindness shown by everyone at the club.

I leave with fond memories and wish the team success in the coming seasons.”

Nottingham Forest also released a statement acknowledging the impact of both players.

“Chris Wood and Divock Origi have been valuable members of our squad, and we thank them for their

dedication and professionalism. We wish them both success in their future endeavors.”

As Wood and Origi embark on the next stages of their careers, Nottingham

Forest and their supporters bid farewell with respect and best wishes for their future successes.
