Unbelievable:Phil Hay Confirms Leeds United are leading the race to sign a goal Machine

Even though the window doesn’t formally open until June 14, people working behind the scenes will be hard at work bolstering the team in preparation for preseason.

Leeds will be keen to avoid making the same mistakes

again after missing out on promotion last summer, as they did not make a single signing until the third week of July. It

was undoubtedly expensive for them to chase the top two. This time last year, 49ers Enterprises was still finalising a

takeover and hiring a manager. However, Paraag Marathe has stated that they are in a better position to profit this time.

That’s even though he’s already said that a few important players will need to

depart this summer in order to make sure they continue to follow PSR

Even though Marathe has stated that money will be available for expenditure,

Championship clubs should constantly be on the lookout for loans and free agents.

At this early point in the summer, Leeds has already been linked to a few players.

Alfie Gilchrist of Chelsea is reportedly being considered for a loan.

Furthermore, it has been reported as of late that Leeds is considering a move for Fulham attacker Bobby De Cordova-Reid,

whose contract expires at the end of the month. According to Team Talk, negotiations for a new contract between

De Cordova-Reid and Fulham have stalled, and Everton and Leeds are two

teams eager to jump in. The Liverpool Echo claims that Everton is not genuinely

interested in pursuing a deal, therefore Leeds may have a free hand in signing the 31-year-old. More teams will undoubtedly look into De Cordova-Reid if

it is eventually confirmed that he will be available as a free agent, but as of right

now, it appears like Leeds is the only team in the running.

Having played in the top two English football divisions for the majority of his professional career, De Cordova-Reid is an accomplished and adaptable

attacking player. His best season was back at Bristol City in the 2017–18 Championship, where he scored 19 goals. He can play both centrally and out wide.

Before joining Fulham in 2019, the Jamaican international spent a year at

Cardiff City. With Fulham, he has won two promotions to the Premier League.

It’s difficult to argue with his former manager Scott Parker’s praise of him as a “unbelievable professional,” given his capacity to play in nearly every game. He

gets hurt very seldom. Eight goals were scored by De Cordova-Reid during

Fulham’s championship-winning season of 2021–2022, and scored six goals in 17 Premier League starts this season.

This summer at Leeds United, the future of the returning loanees will undoubtedly be a hot topic once more.

Eight first team players chose to use the loan clause in their contracts to move on after being demoted from the Premier League a year ago.
