News Now:Daniel Farke is eyeing a reunion for two players who Leeds have made their top target this summer …

Oliver Skipp is reportedly being considered by the Whites prior to the summer window, along with Joe Rodon.

Leeds United may face a busy transfer window ahead, especially if they decide

to sell some key players. Even without these potential sales, it’s evident they need more signings, as their loaned-out

players have returned to their original clubs. Joe Rodon from Tottenham was particularly influential on loan last

season; if they can’t secure another deal for him, they’ll need a replacement in central defense.

Apart from losing their loanees, Leeds has also recently released several players

including Luke Ayling, Lewis Bate, Stewart Ballas, and Ian Poveda. Their contracts expire soon, and discussions

are ongoing with players like Liam Cooper, Cody Drameh, and Jamie Shackleton about extending their stays.

The team’s failure to secure immediate promotion to the Premier League may affect the quality of players they can

attract this summer. Nevertheless, they remain hopeful of bringing in talented additions to the squad.

In their summertime pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur’s Joe Rodon, Leeds

United has benefited greatly. In light of rumours surrounding his future, the

Yorkshire Evening Post reports that the defender is hesitant to start over with a new team next season. Rodon spent the

previous season on loan at Elland Road, where he became an important member of Daniel Farke’s starting lineup. As the

Whites just missed out on promotion to the Premier League, the center-back appeared in 43 Championship games (all

stats courtesy of Fbref). Spurs exercised a one-year extension option earlier this week, meaning Rodon only has 12 months left on his contract.

Leeds’ attempt to sign Rodon has been hampered by their inability to be promoted to the Premier League. Playoff

winners After Southampton defeated Farke’s team 1-0 at Wembley Stadium, there were rumours that Southampton

was interested in signing the Wales international. But Leeds and Tottenham’s negotiations won’t be easy due to the

expense of remaining in the Championship. Their chances of closing a deal are increased because it is

recognised that Rodon is not trying to avoid having to start over with a new team for the next term.

The 26-year-old is reportedly surplus to requirements at Spurs, and Ange Postecoglou has no intention of using

him in his starting lineup moving forward. The London club will be eager to get rid of him this summer in order to

avoid losing him for nothing next year, as he only has a year left on his contract. Leeds, however, may have to sell before

they buy because it has been reported that they must raise money during the transfer market in order to remain in compliance with financial regulations.

This has made things even more difficult in regards to Rodon’s future, so a resolution to this tale might have to wait.
