Crystal Palace have reportedly secured a two-year contract with Lazio midfielder Daichi Kamada ahead of a proposed free transfer to Selhurst Park. The Japanese international, who previously worked with Palace boss Oliver Glasner at Eintracht Frankfurt, had been

negotiating a contract extension with Lazio before Palace stepped in. Kamada has been at Lazio for just one season

after moving from Frankfurt last summer, during which he scored twice in Serie A.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared on X that Kamada will join Crystal Palace

on a two-year deal, stating: “Understand Daichi Kamada has signed his contract as new Crystal Palace player, two-year deal. Medical also completed, here we go

confirmed for free-agent signing. The announcement from #CPFC is currently planned for the beginning of July.”

Before his move to Italy, Newcastle United were reportedly interested in Kamada and were offered the opportunity to sign him on a free transfer.
