Breaking News:Fabrizio Romano reveals a shocking Aston villa U turn situation on Italian giants Juventus star Midfielder Weston McKennie deal as …

Aston Villa has been one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs in terms of transfer activity in recent weeks. The Villans have qualified for the Champions League next season, which means they will need to bolster their squad to deal with the increased workload.

At the same time, Villa are likely to release some players, either due to profit and sustainability rules or simply to offload those who are surplus to requirements.

Over the past week, there has been speculation about a cash-plus-player deal between Douglas Luiz and Juventus.

Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior were expected to go the other way, but it appears that one of them may not be coming.

Fabrizio Romano has given an update on the current situation, listing several players who could potentially replace McKennie.

Romano, speaking to X, claimed that Villa and Juve are still working on the Luiz swap deal to find a solution. According to

a transfer insider, McKennie may be out of the swap deal, with Enzo Barrechea being considered as an alternative. Dean

Huijsen is also “appreciated,” but he is “expensive” in terms of the deal, and Moise Kean is not an option for Villa, according to Romano.

Enzo Barrenechea, an Argentine footballer, plays as a central or defensive midfielder and is currently with Juventus.

The 23-year-old was on loan to Serie A team Frosinone for the 2023/24 season, making 39 appearances, 36 of which were in the league.

Barrenechea started his career at Newell’s Old Boys, the same club where Lionel Messi once played. He then moved to Swiss club Sion in 2019 before joining Juventus’ academy in 2020.

Andrea Bonatti, a former Juventus U19 coach, praised Barrenechea earlier this year in an interview with

Tuttomercatoweb, describing him as a “really strong” player. Bonatti highlighted Barrenechea’s aerial ability,

pitch coverage, technique, composure under pressure, and vertical play, noting that he has become a much more complete player.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Aston Villa are looking to sign a new defender for Unai Emery.

Aston Villa will compete in the Champions League in the coming season, necessitating the addition of players to Unai Emery’s squad.

More games at a higher level will require Villa to rotate their squad in order to remain competitive on all fronts. Work appears to be already underway to

improve the squad at Villa Park, with Emery’s side also reportedly in talks about a deal for Weston McKennie. However,

Villa are also looking to strengthen their defence, with negotiations underway to bring an exciting player to the club.
