Report delivers major transfer update in Celtic’s push for an incredible star player that could cause havoc
|Report delivers significant transfer update in Celtic’s push for Rapid Vienna star Nicolas Kuhn
In an effort to recruit the first player of the 2024 January transfer window, Celtic has begun to make big moves.
According to a source, Nicolas Kuhn, a winger for Rapid Vienna, appears to be
the player who could be wearing Celtic colors very soon after a bid was submitted for the player.
According to Football Scotland, Celtic has made its first attempt to sign the 24-year-
old player; however, the offer falls just short of what the Austrian club is
seeking, so they will make another attempt.
The statement that Rapid Vienna has already started looking for replacements
seems to imply that Celtic and Brendan Rodgers might finally have their man.
When Jota left for Saudi Arabia in the summer, the Bhoys lost a very important
and vital member of the team. Luis Palma took Jota’s position.
During his first five or six months with the club, the Honduran star has performed admirably, earning claims to be the season’s top signing.
However, it appears that the campaign to promote Nicolas Kuhn is moving forward very quickly; remarks from SK Rapid’s sporting director, Markus Katzer, have been provided by Football Scotland.
Celtic table bid for Nicolas Kuhn
He stated: “In principle, I don’t want to comment on any rumours. But I can confirm that we actually have concrete offers on the table for Nicolas Kühn, but I don’t want to name the interested clubs.”
Brendan Rodgers boosting Celtic’s attack
The interesting thing about Kuhn is that he mainly operates on the right wing, but he does have versatility and can play as a forward too.
From his 22 games in all competitions this season, he has ten goal involvements, including five assists in Austria’s top tier.
Ahead of the title run-in, it’s good to see that the forward areas are getting bulked up because now Rodgers will have options to choose from.
Given that Kuhn hasn’t shown himself on a larger platform, how supporters respond to a signing like him is another matter entirely, but at least there has been some movement in terms of incomings.
