Doctors confirm another Leeds star player picks up an injury in training and won’t be in the squad

Leeds United’s rising talent, Charlie Crew, suffered an injury setback during the FA Youth Cup clash against Millwall on April 4, as observed by BBC Radio commentator Adam Pope.

Crew, who had recently been included on the senior team’s bench for matches against Hull and Watford, was forced off the pitch hobbling after sustaining a knock during the game.

Despite confidently netting a goal to put Leeds ahead 2-1 midway through the

first half, Crew’s participation was cut short after being fouled in the 86th minute. The match, which drew over

10,000 fans at Elland Road, ended with Leeds securing a 4-3 victory and advancing to the FA Youth Cup final.

The team fielded several familiar names, including summer signing Josh McDonald and Alfie Cresswell, the younger sibling of center-back Charlie

Cresswell. Crew’s notable performance, highlighted by his well-executed goal in the 32nd minute, demonstrated his growing influence within the academy

ranks. Despite conceding twice in the second half, Leeds rallied to claim victory and set up a final showdown against Manchester City.

At just 17 years old, Crew has already earned three appearances with Wales’ under-21 team, indicating his promising talent. Therefore, it was hardly unexpected when Daniel Farke included him in the lineup for the Good Friday match against Watford.

Archie Gray’s remarkable emergence this season as a pivotal player in Leeds’ quest for promotion, establishing himself as one of the top young talents in the Championship, has been truly impressive.

Given Crew’s potential, could he be the next player to make a similar leap before the season concludes?
