Leeds and 49ers now eyeing move to sign new 6 ft 2 gem, according to reportĀ

As reported by The Daily Record, Leeds have shown interest in acquiring Bobby Wales from Kilmarnock. Wales has been on loan at third-tier Alloa for the 2023/24

season, and his performances have attracted attention from recruitment teams in England. It’s mentioned that Leeds is among several teams that have

deployed scouts to observe the striker’s recent matches, with Stoke and promotion contenders Ipswich also identified as admirers.

Wales made ten first-team appearances for Kilmarnock last season, all in the Premiership. His debut came as a late substitute against St Johnstone in

October, and he went on to make seven more appearances from the bench, including two starts against Hearts and Motherwell in December. In addition to

becoming one of the 15 youngest players in club history, he was also one of the ten youngest to play in the Scottish Premiership in 2022/23.

It’s still early days for the 18-year-old, but he’s already developing into an impressive athlete with a 6 foot 2 frame,

and he’s been capped nine times by Scotland at under-19 level, earning international recognition. With his contract set to expire in just over a year,

it’s no surprise that Daniel Farke and the 49ers are reportedly looking into the possibility of repeating the Hjelde transaction ahead of the summer window.
