Blake Griffin has yet to make an appearance on the NBA court this season, but it seems that some Boston Celtics

players are eager for his veteran leadership to return to the team. During a podcast appearance, Celtics guards

Derrick White and Payton Pritchard revealed that they have been urging Griffin to come back for another season with the Green and White.

Blake Griffin has not played in any NBA games this season, but there is a desire among certain Boston Celtics players to

see his veteran leadership back on the team. According to Celtics guards Derrick White and Payton Pritchard, who spoke

on a podcast, they have been encouraging Griffin to consider returning for another season with the team.

“I texted him like a week or two ago, asking him to come back for one last ride,” Pritchard revealed.

Currently a free agent, Griffin opted to prioritize family time after his tenure with Boston during the 2022-23 season. In 41 games with the Celtics, the 34-year-

old averaged 4.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 13.9 minutes per game. Despite his modest on-court contributions, Griffin’s influence in the locker room and

leadership appeared to have a positive impact on the younger players, as noted by White and Pritchard.

During the podcast, the hosts of Padron My Take decided to FaceTime Griffin and inquire about the possibility of returning

to the Celtics. The former Lob City star had a straightforward response to their question.

Although Griffin’s response suggests that a comeback is improbable, numerous fans embrace the notion of him playing for another season.
